LIONS ON THE BEACH, STEP BY STEP

STEP BY STEP: LIONS ON THE BEACH.

 

  1. Open the file beach.jpg: File, Open, beach.jpg.
    This action means that beach.jpg is the background and also defines the canvas size of the image.
  2. Save as .xcf: File, Save file as…, beach-lions.xcf
  3. Open the file in background, as a layer: FIle, open as a layer... lion.jpg
  4. Leaves visible only the lion.jpg: has to be a single layer with an eye infront of the name (atention: It must be the active layer, click on the name of the layer)
  5. Selection with Intelligent Scissors, intro, to make selection.
  6. Copy and paste the selection: button right on the selection, Edit, Copy and after Paste.
  7. Convert the copy in a new layer: a dialogue layer, on floating layer, button right, new layer.
  8. Change the name of the layer by lion: double click on the name of the layer.
  9. Move the lion to another position: display background, move tools and joined.
  10. We go back to layer lion1. Selection of the space between the legs, with selection by color, and Edit, clean-up or delete.
  11. Change size: about layer, right Button, layers, scale the layer, etc.
  12. The color of the lion in the color of the bottom right Button, Brightness-Contrast Colors:, (and others ...)
  13. Blurs the outline, so that real discretion: Slick Tool with your finger (and others ...)
  14. Creates more Lions: Right Button on Lion layer, duplicate the layer, etc.
  15. Adjusts the size and position of other Lions. Rename the layers.
  16. Create other effects on the background: filters, lights and shadows
  17. You can insert a new single, for an artificial effect: lights and shadows, Supernova, etc.. Also try other effects.
  18. Enter your name and date: Text Tool, new layer.
  19. Put it on the blog
